MUMBAI: To tap the increasing South Indian diaspora including the Malayalee community in the US, Canada and Europe, the Best of Malayalam TV (BoMTV) has launched a new broadcast service throughout US and Canada.

This is the first and only broadband TV service from Malayalam available to audiences in North America. BoMTV will offer seven channels of Malayalam entertainment and will bring viewers the latest Malayalam movies, events and variety programming on a pay-per-view basis.

BoMTV has partnered with NeuLion, an iPTV and set top box solution provider for the offering.

"BoMTV offers a choice that Malayalam speakers never had. We are delighted to offer the turnkey infrastructure to fulfill this need," NeuLion VP and MD Richard N Yelen said.

"We chose NeuLion to deliver Southern India's most popular TV channels because the company has more broadband TV/IPTV world experience than anyone in the world," commented BoMTV CEO Christopher John.

BoMTV offers programs based on: news, fashion, movies, gaming, travel, variety, family entertainment, cultural programs, prayer, music, and others.

BoMTV channels include: Asianet, Asianet Plus, Asianet News, Jaihind TV, Jeevan TV, Powervision and Shalom Television.
