MUMBAI: The sequel is coming. Season II of Fear Factor - Khatron Ke Khiladi is slated to set the TV's daredevil fans afire come February. There's going to be the usual fare: gorgeous beauties, dangerous stunts, and what have you. But KKK season II is coming back with a bigger bang on Colors.

While, Chandni Chowk to China may have put a blotch on Akshay Kumar's so called winning streak, the channel however says that it is betting once again on Bollywood's stud to host the show. And why not - Akki's image fits the KKK brand; after all stunts and he go hand in hand.

The bigger bang this time is coming in the form of Akki's role, bigger celebs and viewer participation. Accompanying the celebrity participants in the 'devil may care' acts will be the viewers; and their selection will happen through auditions that will be held all over the country later this year.

Speaking about season II of KKK, Colors programming head Ashvini Yardi says, "Fear Factor - Khatron Ke Khiladi Level 2 is going to be a notch higher than the last season in terms of bigger celebrity participants, the difficulty level of challenges and even Akshay Kumar! The inclusion of the common man as a co-contender will definitely create a lot of excitement. This time around, the show plans to pack in a bigger punch to make sure everyone joins in on the excitement. Also, Akshay will be playing a much bigger role than just of a mentor and a host - something definitely to watch out for!"

Adds KKK Level II producer Endemol India managing director Deepak Dhar, "Expect complete fireworks this season because we've raised the bar across the board. Khatron Ke Khiladi Level 2 is a double dose of everything from action to stunts and from the contestants to Khiladi Kumar himself. Apart from all the action on screen, a few lucky viewers will get to experience the exhilaration of the show first-hand."

The auditions will be held nationwide with Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Lucknow and Ahmedabad being among the cities being covered. Colors will be revealing the names of the celebrity participants on the show in a formal announcement in time.

Fear Factor - Khatron Ke Khiladi debuted in July 2008 as one of the first shows on the then newly launched channel Colors. After tasting early success, the show soon built a strong following of regular adventure fanatics who enjoyed the extreme stunts featured on the show. The show's biggest strength apart form the celeb factor was the fact that all the stunts featured on the show were real which made it precariously exciting.

Will that excitement continue in season II!!! The Colors management obviously believes it will.
