MUMBAI:
The inaugural ceremongy and opening match of the second season
of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will be held in Jaipur
on 10 April.
The
Rajasthan Royals will play two home matches in Ahmedabad.
The rest will be played in Jaipur.
Meanwhile,
Andrew Flintoof is confident that he will be fit to play in
the IPL despite a hip injury. The England all-rounder has
been ruled out of the fourth Test with West Indies after playing
through intense pain in the third Test in Antigua.
Earlier
Australian skipper Ricky Pointing, stung by criticism after
his team lost a home series to South Africa, had said that
he would not take part in the IPL.
BCCI
VP Lalit Modi though says that the pulling out of one or two
players will not affect the IPL which is much bigger than
any one individual.
