Zoom partners with WorldTV to expand web audience

MUMBAI: ZoomTV, the digital arm of Bollywood entertainment channel Zoom, has partnered with London-based online video service provider WorldTV to expand the web viewing audience of the channel worldwide.

"The idea is to re-create the Zoom TV viewing experience online, and do it in a way that's accessible to viewers everywhere. WorldTV opens up our content to an estimated 3.6 billion Bollywood fans," said Zoom TV's digital head Sameer Pitawalla.

The new service, WorldTV claims, has generated global interest with viewers logging on from places such as Germany, Spain, the Netherlands and Bhutan.

"In terms of viewership, Bollywood is bigger than Hollywood and this alliance can only be of benefit to all our users as we develop custom new features and functionality," says WorldTV CEO Alx Klive.

WorldTV offers video content management system (VCMS) that makes it simple to playlist together video clips and publish them on a website.
