MUMBAI: In a bid to maintain its stand of being the only linear family comedy channel, Sab is launching a ghost-comedy show, Bhootwala Serial.

Beginning 23 February, the show will hit the TV screens every Monday-Thursday at 10 pm.

Says Sab business head Anooj Kapoor, "In keeping with Sab's strategy of relevant and ongoing innovation within the comedy genre, 'Bhootwala Serial' is India's first horror comedy on television. It deftly combines humor and comedy to create a very enjoyable and unique family viewing experience."

The show, being produced by Binaifer Kohli's Edit II Productions, will fill in the long vacant 10 pm slot of the channel.

The plot of the show revolves around the life of Vicky, who inherits his grandfather's old bungalow. After losing money in the stock market, he runs away from the city to escape the clutches of the moneylenders. He took shelter in the bungalow and decides to start a guest house. The bungalow, however, also houses a ghost family.
