| MUMBAI:
Zee TV has a lot to cheer about from the performance of Dance India Dance in its
second season run.
The show opened with a TVR of 3.9 on 18 December and enjoyed a peak of 4.9 TVR
on Saturday over a two-hour period, according to Tam data for the week ended 19
December. In
the first season, the finale had garnered 5.5 TVR and helped Zee TV oust Star
Plus from the No 2 (for the week ended 30 May) spot. Zee
TV's ratings dance continued with its daily 9 pm fiction Pavitra Rishta that beat
all rivals to become the week's most-watched Hindi general entertainment programme,
attaining a peak TVR of 7.1. Says
Zeel COO and Zee TV business head Nitin Vaidya, We are motivated with the
ratings of Lux Dance India Dance and Pavitra Rishta and overwhelmed by the viewers
response. This goes to show how eagerly people were waiting for Lux Dance India
Dance. It provides an impetus to the team to strive harder. Riding
on the back of DID and Pavitra Rishta, Zee TV has ended the week at 271 GRPs (gross
rating points), adding 30 GRPs over the earlier week. Colors,
however, maintained its leadership position with 303 GRPs while Star Plus remained
at No. 2 with 280 GRPs. Also Read:
