| MUMBAI:
Sunil Lulla is returning to the Times Group as managing director and CEO for its
TV portfolio. Effective
today, Lulla has taken charge of the three channels Times Now, ET Now and
Zoom. Lulla
will report directly to Bennett, Coleman & Co. Ltd (BCCL) MD Vineet Jain.
In a related development,
Bala Iyengar has been elevated to the position of Zoom business head, replacing
MK Anand who had quit to head UTV's broadcasting business. Zoom
Entertainment Network CEO Suresh Bala will now report to Lulla.
Lulla
quit Alva Brothers Entertainment as the Hindi entertainment channel Real failed
to rake in ratings and joint venture partner Turner put the project under review. Prior
to joining Alva Brothers, Lulla was CEO of Times Global Broadcasting (TGBCL).
Chintamani Rao, who was serving as CEO of TGBCL, is relocating to New Delhi and
will take on the position of vice chairman. He will play a mentoring and strategic
role for all the television businesses of BCCL and would also focus on development
of new Private Treaties Partners. Also
