Reliance Media World, which will list on the bourses soon, has posted a consolidated
gross revenue of Rs 460 million for the first quarter of this fiscal. The
net loss stands at Rs 270 million while the first-quarter operating loss is at
around Rs 110 million. The
company, which is yet to announce its financials publicly, had posted a net loss
of Rs 980 million on a turnover of Rs 2 billion in FY'09. Expenses for the full-fiscal
stood at Rs 2.28 billion. Reliance
Media World, which houses Big FM, has 90 per cent of its revenues coming from
the FM radio and below the line businesses. The OOH segment accounts for 5-7 per
cent of the company's turnover. The
company has a debt of Rs 2.87 billion. Big
FM, which operates 45 radio stations, is gearing up to bid for more frequencies
as the government prepares to open up around 700 frequencies for the next round
of FM expansion. |
