| MUMBAI:
Eleven projects will receive a total grant of C$279,500 from the Canwest-Hot Docs
Funds.
The funds will consist of a C$3 million completion fund and a C$1
million development fund that aim to provide documentary filmmakers with financial
support at critical stages in their projects.
The
projects that have been earmarked to receive this year's grant include Behind
the Scenes at Kinngait Studios,Grinder, Raw Opium, The Real M*A*S*H, A Strange
Brew: The End of Addiction, 9.79: The Rise and Fall of Ben Johnson, Ariel, Green
to the End, Operation Soap and Taxi School. The
next deadline for Canwest-Hot Docs Funds will be in May next year. |
