| MUMBAI:
Who Wants to Be a Millionaire returns to ABC for a two-week prime-time
event from 9 August and will be aired at 8 pm.
Airing for eleven nights,
the show will see the participation of a number of actors, singers, athletes and
other celebrities. The 10th anniversary celebration of the chat show will be hosted
by Regis Philbin.
Each
episode will conclude with a celebrity player taking the hot seat, asked to answer
a single question worth $50,000 for the charity of their choice. Celebrities expected
to come on the show include Lauren Conrad of The Hills, rapper Snoop Dogg, pop
singer Katy Perry, Olympic gold medalist Shawn Johnson and The View co-host Sherri
Shepherd.
Candy
Crowley, CNN's senior political correspondent, is in the panel
of experts for Ask The Expert lifeline. She will be joined
by Wolf Blitzer, Connie Chung, Sam Donaldson, Gwen Ifill,
Ken Jennings, Bill Nye, Jodi Picoult, Cokie Roberts, Mo Rocca
and George Stephanopoulos.
