MUMBAI:
ESPN Star Sports (ESS) has announced the appointment of Nic
van Zwanenberg to the role of senior director, affiliate and
multimedia sales.
Zwanenberg
joins the team headed by Adam Zecha, who is executive VP,
affiliate and multimedia sales.
Zwanenberg
will be responsible for managing and implementing sales strategies
in Hong Kong, Korea, Macau, Mongolia, the Philippines and
Pakistan as well as strengthening ESS' relationships with
platform operators in the region.
Prior
to this, Zwanenberg spent 15 years with the BBC in London
and Hong Kong, where he held several key roles managing channel
distribution, syndication and business development for the
broadcaster. He was most recently the director of distribution
for Greater China and Indo-China for BBC Worldwide Channels
Asia Pacific.
Before
joining the BBC, Zwanenberg worked for LWT, Granada and RPTA/Primetime
in the international programme sales and co-productions divisions
in London and was also the head of acquisitions for the Spafax
Airline Network.
