| MUMBAI:
IIT Kanpur is set to launch its own FM radio station, the programming mix of which
will include both scientific content and classical music.
Through
this project, it will be for the first time that an IIT campus will have its own
FM radio station. The plan has already received a green signal from the Information
and Broadcasting Ministry. The
new FM station will follow the America's National Public Radio (NPR) model. Also,
it will have phone-in programme in which students from across the city can put
their queries relating to science to the professors of the college. |
