MUMBAI: Sony Pictures has announced a slate of eight mobile games that it is planning to release through December 2009.

The games will be based on Sony's feature films and television shows. The company will add some more titles soon.

"We are extremely proud of this slate and thrilled to offer our mobile partners more of the high-quality games they've come to expect from us and that consumers love to play," said Sony Pictures senior EVP Sean Carey.

The titles include Angels & Demons that coincides with the release of the movie with the same title on 15 May.

Ghostbusters are out again to save New York citizens from a ghost invasion. Customized for iPhone, this game will be released in June.

Q*Bert will be released in July. The colorful, lovable and jumpy arcade character of the 1980s will be available on iPhone, iPod Touch, and Android devices.

007 returns in Top Agent this August with an updated multi-player version specifically created for play on the iPhone.

Sports Illustrated and Zombieland are two games that will be released in October.
