MUMBAI: Netflix and MTV Networks have signed a pact to bring in contents from Comedy Central and Nickelodeon to consumers on Netflix.com.

The deal will enable Netflix subscribers to watch animated series and shows like South Park, Nickelodeon's iCarly and SpongeBob SquarePants on Netflix.com and on TV via Netflix-ready devices. Altogether first nine seasons of South Park consisting of 139 episodes and Nickelodeon's 300 content series will be available on Netflix.

"We are pleased to expand our relationship with MTV Networks and be part of their distribution strategy. We have a shared interest in providing fans access and strengthening MTV Networks," says Netflix VP content acquisition Robert Kyncl.

"Netflix is a platform that continues to grow in popularity with kids, young adults and parents alike. Netflix shares our commitment to consumer focus and we are excited to expand our partnership with Netflix and want our content to be available to our audiences," believes MTVN EVP digital distribution and business development Greg Clayman.

Netflix subscribers will be able to choose the content from its library of more than 12,000 choices.
