As part of streamlining its operations, Network18 has acquired the investment
advisory business of its group company Capital18 Media Advisors, a venture capital
and private equity firm. "Capital18
Media Advisors had a very small business. By taking it under Network18, we have
just streamlined the operations," an executive in the company said.
The
acquisition would be effective from 1 January, 2009. “The company has acquired
the investment advisory business of Capital18 Media Advisors... along with the
related contracts and employees,” Network 18 Media & Investments said. Network18
is the holding company for TV18 and IBN18. Shares
of Network18 Media & Investments fell 0.93 per cent to close Monday at Rs
74.35 on the BSE. |
