| MUMBAI:
Gitanjali Murari, head of content of the newly launched Hindi general entertainment
channel Real, has quit the organisation.
The
channel, launched on 2 March by Real Global Broadcasting Pvt
Ltd (RGBPL), is struggling with ratings. It pocketed 18 GRPs
(gross rating points) for the week ended 25 April, landing
at the bottom of the heap in the Hindi GEC space.
Murari
had joined the company in May 2008, before the launch of the channel.
RGBPL
president Sharada Sunder tells Indiantelevision.com,
Yes, Murari has put in her papers. I will be overseeing
the channel's programming till we find a suitable replacement.
Prior
to Real, Murari was with Pix, the English movie and event
channel under Multi Screen Media (formerly known as Sony),
where she was the head of programming. She was also involved
with the brand's marketing and advertising sales functions.
