MUMBAI: MGM Networks, a division of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios, announced the launch of Portuguese language version of MGM HD Channel, the 24/7 linear network delivering classic and contemporary films on Sky Brazil.

This channel will complement the standard definition MGM Channel and will offer Sky subscribers a separate programming schedule. In addition to classic MGM theatrical hits, MGM HD will also provide viewers new films and Brazilian premieres.

"Sky viewers in Brazil will enjoy the experience of viewing choice selections from the MGM library. We are also looking forward to further expansion opportunities for our HD channels not just across Latin America, but throughout the global marketplace," said MGM Networks president Bruce Tuchman.
