MGM Networks, a division of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios, announced the launch
of Portuguese language version of MGM HD Channel, the 24/7 linear network delivering
classic and contemporary films on Sky Brazil. This
channel will complement the standard definition MGM Channel and will offer Sky
subscribers a separate programming schedule. In addition to classic MGM theatrical
hits, MGM HD will also provide viewers new films and Brazilian premieres. "Sky
viewers in Brazil will enjoy the experience of viewing choice selections from
the MGM library. We are also looking forward to further expansion opportunities
for our HD channels not just across Latin America, but throughout the global marketplace,"
