MUMBAI: NDTV's two channels - lifestyle channel NDTV Good Times and English business news channel NDTV Profit - will be distributed by BT's media and broadcasting arm in the US.

NDTV and BT Global Media Network have signed an agreement for this purpose.

Says NDTV Group head of broadcast engineering and operations Dinesh Singh, "BT's Global Media Network continues to be a solid partner to help us build our international network. In our line of business, we need to ensure that we have a highly reliable and resilient network. Not only does BT's service provide this but it is also highly cost effective which assists us in expending our offer around the globe."

Earlier, NDTV had signed similar agreements with BT to distribute NDTV's Arabia channel in the Dubai market and NDTV Imagine, the Hindi general entertainment channel, in the UK and US market over the Eurobird sky platform and EchoStar.

Says BT COO Asia Pacific Kevin Taylor, "We have been delivering excellent results for NDTV with our GMN offer and they are rewarding our efforts with these two new contracts which further help them increase their global operations footprint."
