Wimax Forum takes place in Singapore next week

MUMBAI: WiMax Forum Congress Asia 2009, the second annual edition of WiMax Forum event, will be held in Singapore from 28-29 April.

 

This year’s Congress Asia has a speaker line-up of more than 100 people including 29 operators. Part of WiMax Forum’s series of global tradeshows, the event positions itself as being the largest and most successful WiMax event in the region with more than 4,000 high-level representatives in attendance from the entire WiMax ecosystem across Asia and throughout the globe.

The two-day event will bring together Asian WiMax players like UQ Communications, Yota, Korea Telecom and V Max Telecom as well as large global players like Clearwire. Some of the speakers at this year'sevent include UQ Communications president Takashi Tanaka, Tatung Infocomm persident Peter Yen, Yota CEO Dennis Sverdlov and BSNL GM Raman Subbaiah.

They will be speaking on various aspects of WiMax ecosystem and participants will be given a live experience of a WiMax network by operator Green Packet by allowing access to live Mobile WiMax and Fixed WiMax connectivity.

 
 

The event will provide the industry with an opportunity to learn from the experiences of operators who have successfully deployed mobile broadband around the world.
