MUMBAI: News Corp's social networking website, MySpace has appointed Former Facebook COO Owen Van Natta as its new CEO.

Based in Los Angeles, Van Natta will report to News Corp's newly appointed Digital Media CEO and chief digital officer Jonathan Miller.

Natta, 39, had previously served as chief revenue officer and VP operations at Facebook. He left Facebook in early 2008 and was most recently CEO at the music streaming site, Playlist.

Natta will replace Chris DeWolfe, who stepped down as CEO earlier this week.
