MTNL to launch 3G services in Mumbai by May

MUMBAI: State-owned Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL) is set to launch its 3G services in Mumbai by May.

MTNL, which operates in Mumbai and New Delhi, has already launched its 3G services under the brand name of 'Jadoo' in certain parts of New Delhi.

 

The telecom major is eying a 3G subscriber base of 100,000 by the year end.

 
 

MTNL is planning to spend Rs 17.24 billion through March 2010 to expand its mobile and broadband services in India.
