Network18 has elevated Sanjay Sharma to director - operations and IBN Lokmat chief
operating officer.
Prior
to this, Sharma was vice president - operations at Network18.
He was also handling the business of IBN Lokmat, the joint
venture between IBN18 and Lokmat, for the Marathi news channel.
As
COO-IBN Lokmat, Sharma will look after the business aspects of the channel. In
his new capacity, he will also be responsible for overseeing all technical operations
related to broadcast, web and print businesses in the group. Piyush
Gupta, meanwhile, has been promoted to director - CTO broadcast and operations.
Earlier, Gupta was Network18 general manager - operations. Gupta
will continue to look after the technical operations for the broadcast businesses
of the group as director - CTO broadcast. As operations - director, he will be
responsible for all operations-related matters in Noida. Also,
along with Sharma, he will be responsible for all new projects at Network18. |
