MUMBAI: Avid Technology in the US has unveiled VideoSpin 2.0. The solution is targeted towards consumers with no video editing experience who want to share their videos on the web.

Currently available for free download at videospin.com, version 2.0 supports the QuickTime (mov) file format.

• Support for QuickTime file import – now digital still camera and video camera owners can easily import QuickTime files and create compelling movies and slideshows.
• Fit-to-Fill Timeline – with a simple click of a mouse, users can automatically remove the black bars that occasionally appear on videos and photos that do not conform to the timeline aspect ratios.
• Added widescreen support for uploading videos to YouTube;

• A streamlined registration process for quicker download.
