Adtec Digital to showcase new encoders at Nab

MUMBAI: Adtec Digital, which specialises in Digital and IPTV product development, is set to showcase the new mediaHUB-HD 422 high-definition encoder at this year's National Association of Broadcasters (Nab) trade show.

The mediaHub-HD 422 supports MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 AVC contribution, distribution and studio encoding applications. It also boasts of the ability to encode any combination of HD and SD (standard definition), MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 AVC with 4:2:0 and 4:2:2 colour space. The mediaHUB-HD 422 also supports past, present and future broadcast infrastructures.

 

Adtec Digital president Kevin Ancelin says, "We are pleased that after just a year of focus on the contribution compression segment, we have delivered hundreds of error-free contribution feeds for the most demanding clients and events."

 
 

The features of mediaHub-HD 422's contribution include supporting a comprehensive array of MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 AVC encoding profiles. Audio support includes four pairs of SDI and AES audio plus and two pairs of analog audio inputs. Audio codec-support includes dual dolby digital and quad MPEG-1 layer 2 encoding plus dual channel dolby E/5.1 passthrough.

The mediaHUB-HD 422 has the capability to create high and standard definition CableLabs compliant MPEG-2 transport streams, ideal for VoD and DPI content creation.
