UTV launches mobile music video channel

MUMBAI: UTV New Media, a digital arm and subsidiary of UTV, has announced the launch of 'UTV@Play' a mobile music video channel in India.

Made available on Idea, Vodafone, BSNL and MTNL, the subscription of UTV@play is priced at Rs 10 per day and Rs 30 for the entire month.The users can access the services by sending a SMS to the service provider who will send the link for downloading the application. They can also download the application directly from the operator's WAP portals.

UTV's mobile TV channel will showcase music videos in Hindi, English, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Bhojpuri and Marathi in the first phase of its launch. The second phase will include Malayalam, Bengali and Gujarati.

"UTV New media offers content in the digital space to the youth. UTV@play is a music video channel that gives subscriber an absolute TV viewing experience on the mobile handset," says UTV New Media CEO TN Prabhu.
