MUMBAI: Colors has kick-started its syndication revenues with its mythological show Jai Shri Krishna, the second top-rated show on the Viacom18 channel.

Colors has inked a licensing deal with Chennai-based Raj Television Network (RTN). The show has started airing on RTN's flagship channel Raj TV in its dubbed Tamil version. Jai Shri Krishna will also hop on to the network's Telugu channel, Vissa TV.

Says Colors CEO Rajesh Kamat, “This is one of our first shows with which we plan to commence our regional syndication development. Following ‘Jai Shri Krishna’ will be many more flagship shows of Colors. Also, along with Raj TV’s Tamil channel, the show will also be syndicated to their Telugu channel – Vissa TV. We are looking forward to a long and fruitful partnership with our friends in the south.”

Earlier, NDTV Imagine had syndicated its flagship show Ramayan to UTV Software Communications for telecast on the Sun TV network of channels.
