MUMBAI: Action oriented broadcaster AXN has announced that despite the viewership base of over 19 million viewers across Asia for the second season of The Amazing Race Asia, the debut of season three saw a 12 per cent growth in Singapore and Malaysia.

AXN executive director Yan-Jong Wong says, "The success of The Amazing Race and our very own Asian version definitely demonstrates AXN's foresight and strength in bringing the very best, high-quality television entertainment to its audience. From next week, viewers can get double dose of round-the-world adventure travel excitement from both versions showing on our channel, but each with its distinctive brand of entertainment."

For the sixth consecutive time, the US show The Amazing Race won an Emmy for Best Reality Competition Programme.
