MUMBAI:
SFM is rebranding itself with a new tagline - "Hum
sirf bolte hi nahi....hum superhits bajaate bhi hai
from 1 September.
The
station has revamped the sound of its stations and programming.
Brand SFM, part of India largest radio network under the SUN
TV Group, which currently runs 42 stations across the country,
will put a new josh to the way it sounds, true
to its tag Jhoomo Jamke Jhoomo.
In
tune with the latest international trends across the globe
for radio, SFMs formatted programming will now have
16 crisp shows on weekdays, up from 12 earlier. SFM stations
in every city will be very high on local content and connect.
Always a highly interactive radio brand, the music, programs,
phone-in contests and outdoor broadcast in the shows at SFM
stations will get bigger now to cater to a wider target audience
in its newer avatar, says the station.
SFM
will also be creating a new trend across the country by introducing
completely new concepts a spiritual music show in its
early morning show SFM Raaga introducing to its
listeners Indian fusion, sufi fusion and world music. It will
be high on information on spiritual and physical health. Sabka
Family Member is the other new concept in radio by doing
the show everyday from a listeners house from different
parts of the city, thereby connecting to its listeners on
ground level. For the first time in Indian radio, SFM introduces
a show in the hardcore local and character-specific lingo
to update/ discuss/ debate local issues of every city with
a Jhoomo & Bajao attitude.
The
popular wake-up show Morning No 1 will kickstart
the day for SFM listeners as the RJ will wake-up people through
phone-ins and exchange spot-on good mornings.
The morning drive-time shows follow high local news content
in Guru Ho Jaaye Shuru, Lift Kara De and Halka Hole where
the common man gets to voice his opinion on local issues extensively.
Lift Kara De as the name suggests has been giving a car-lift
everyday since SFMs launch at each city, a unique and
popular concept of giving its listeners a car anywhere in
the city -- the first done by any radio station in the country.
Yeh
Taara Who Taara, the astrology based show will continue to
solve problems of SFM listeners and popular comedian Surendra
Sharma comes ...
in
everyday to tickle your funny bone in the show Sharmaji
se Poocho. Tafri Junction continues the trend in the
evening with PJs and spoofs.
A
daily countdown show 10 on 10 of the latest top
bollywood songs is another new show where the latest and the
current hit songs in Bollywood race for the top slot. The
love show, Love Ka Keeda gets a new meaning, different from
any other radio station as SFM tackles and celebrates love
the bindaas way but with no mush.
SFM
has also introduced new national sparklers like SFM
Bollywood Bhangarwaala, Excuse Me and Dr
Sing. As each SFM station has its specific local property
commenting on city happenings in a sarcastic yet humourous
way, SFM also re-introduces its popular concept of folk music
of different regions blended with Bollywood hit tracks like
Aayaram Gayaram and SFM Qawaals as part of its sparklers.
Weekend
programming at SFM stations is a mixed bag of fun, movies,
information, celeb interviews, business trends and some CSR
activity. College Tadibaaz and City Live, two complete OB
shows at college campuses and city hot-spots connect each
radio station with the pulse of the citys youngsters.
Hear-out Bollywoods top celebs in the personal interview
show Hello Mic Testing, and get weekend movie release reviews
and previews on SFM Housefull. Not to miss Behind the
Scene the making of a hit bollywood track. Get
local and national business updates in the show Paisa
Vasool and hear out city specific success stories of
people in SFM Superstar. SFM stations continue
to be responsible radio stations as its Corporate Social Responsibility
show SFM Prayaas continues to give its listeners
a platform to voice their city specific issues and gain information
on the same through various guest experts.
