Zee acquires 21 films from UTV

MUMBAI: UTV Entertainment Television Ltd. (UETL) has syndicated a slate of 21 Hindi movies to Zee on a non exclusive basis.

Titles include blockbusters like Jodhaa Akbar, Race, Taare Zameen Par and recent releases like Mumbai Meri Jaan, A Wednesday, Welcome to Sajjanpur, Kismet Konnection, Taare Zameen Par, Jannat and Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na.

The movies will be aired on both Zee TV as well as Zee Cinema.

The slate also includes library films from UTV like Halla Bol, Aap Ka Suroor, Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal, Hatrick, Sirf, Mumbai Salsa and Speed, among others.

Says UTV Motion Pictures CEO Siddhartha Roy Kapur, “We have syndicated these movies to Zee. Including UTV Movies, these films will be aired on other channels as well.”
