MUMBAI:
Filling up its weekday prime time, Sony Entertainment Television
will launch a new fiction show, Meet Mila De Rabba,
on 3 November at 8 pm.
The
daily show, which will air Monday-Thursday, will make the
weekday prime time (8pm-11pm) band of Sony complete with all
fresh episodes.
Said
Sony Entertainment Television creative director fiction Sanjay
Upadhyay, “Meet Mila De Rabba is a unique and
emotional love story that will surely have the viewers thinking
aloud about how destiny and fate can change life’s plans
for an otherwise cheerful and happy young girl."
Set
in a small village of Punjab, Meet Mila De Rabba is the story
of Geet who gets married. But this is not the kind of marriage
a young girl would want to go through. For Geet her parent’s
happiness and honor is important and she will do everything
to make her marriage work. She happily accepts her fate and
moves on with life, simply to please her people and the society
that she lives in.
"What
happens at the wedding to Geet is irreparable but this gutsy,
brave young girl decides to give everything to the marriage…
Meet Mila De Rabba is sure to not only bring tears but will
force the viewers to share the pain, anguish and grit of a
brave young village girl," added Upadhyay.
The
show is produced by Silver Circle Films, directed by Rajeev
Bhanot and stars veterans Raza Murad, Asha Sharma. Shivendra
Mahal, Mandeep Bhandar, Rajeshwari Sachdev, Kunika Lal, Monaz
Mewawala, Saurabh Jain and others.
