NEW DELHI: The Telecom Disputes Settlement
and Appellate Tribunal (Tdsat) has directed
MSM Discovery, distributor of broadcasters
Sony and Discovery, to provide channels
on a la carte basis to Sun Direct within
two days from 22 October.
The
Tdsat bench, headed by Justice Arun Kumar,
said that the DTH operator is entitled to
pick any channel from the MSM Discovery
bouquet and pay in accordance with their
reference interconnect offer (RIO).
MSM
Discovery distributes Animal Planet, AXN,
Discovery Channel, Discovery Travel and
Living, MTV India, Sab, Sony Entertainment,
Max, Pix, Aaj Tak, Headlines Today and others.
The
dispute between Sun Direct and MSM Discovery
arose six months back when Max was exclusively
telecasting IPL cricket matches.
