Total Sports signs deal in China for Real Marid mobile content

MUMBAI: Spanish soccer club Real Madrid and sports marketing agency Total Sports Asia (TSA) have announced a partnership with Mobile Multimedia to distribute Real Madrid's mobile content and launch its official Wap portal in China.

This marks Real Madrid's foray into China for its mobile content business. Football fans in China will be able to access goals from the Uefa Champions League, weekly club news, and interviews, photos of Real Madrid players in action, Official Real Madrid Java games, text updates of schedules, scores and results, and ringtones through its localised Wap portal (wap.ilook.com).

 

Mobile Multimedia CEO Richard Long said, "We are very happy to work with Real Madrid, one of the world's first class football clubs, with Mobile Multimedia's professional focus and Real Madrid's reach, we are confident to gather the fans and bring to China a wide array of interactive and exciting mobile content."

Mobile Multimedia has partnered with a local magazine, China Youth Daily to build an interactive mobile Wap magazine, and Real Madrid's mobile content will be the latest addition to this project.

 
Real Madrid deputy sales and marketing MD Begoña Sanz said, "Real Madrid is immensely popular in Asia and this tie-in with Mobile Multimedia through Total Sports Asia, would enable us to continue our efforts in expanding our fan base in the largest market in Asia."

TSA senior VP Julian Jackson said, "Real Madrid is the most reputable football club with a plethora of club honors achieved throughout its colorful history, and we are more than happy to help Real Madrid achieve its fan base expansion objectives in China."
