Zapak announces gaming tournament

MUMBAI: Reliance ADA Group’s online gaming portal Zapak Digital Entertainment Ltd has launched a gaming tournament – ‘Zapak Gameplex Premiere League’.

Sponsored by Cadbury Perk, the tournament will be activated in 35 Zapak Gameplexes in cities like Chennai, Bangalore, Jamshedpur, Bhopal, Bubaneshwar, Cochin, Coimbatore, DehraDun, Hyderabad, Indore, Lucknow, Ludhiana, Delhi, Ranchi, Mumbai, Secunderabad, Siliguri, Baroda, Trivandrum, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Pune and Kolkata.

The tournament will showcase some of the most popular games like - Counter Strike, FIFA 08 and Crazy Kart. It will be a league-based format where gamers across the country will play each other in the competitive format.

Zapak Gameplex will rank and felicitate India’s top 100 gamers in Counter Strike, FIFA 08 and Crazy Kart, along with cash prizes of upto Rs 500,000.

Zapak COO Rohit Sharma said, “Zapak has offered the gamers in India with the best national tournaments in the past and now with ‘Cadbury Perk Zapak Gameplex Premiere League’ we want to felicitate the top 100 gamers of the country.”

“Recognition and felicitation at National level in gaming has not been done even in top international tournaments which take place in our country. This will prove to be a golden opportunity for our Indian gamers. Our aim is to give equal opportunity to all gamers across India and we will reach out to them through our strong network of Zapak Gameplex across the country,” Sharma added.

The last date for registration is 6 November and the tournament will begin on 8 November.

The event is being promoted by AXN, Big FM, Living Digital along with online media and Zapak.com.

The league will also be promoted across all youth hot spots by way of banner and poster activation.
