MUMBAI: CNBC-TV18 is launching a show Government at Work that will look at the business of governance from principles of modern management. Starting from 24 May, on Saturday at 12:30 pm, the series will focus on the existing and already launched schemes of the government.

CNBC-TV18 and CNBC Awaaz VP marketing Neel Chowdhury said, “We consistently try to do powerful policy and broadbased programming around issues which impact business but may not necessarily be business themselves. It’s part of a conscious strategy to deliver a comprehensive spectrum of content to viewers”.

The forthcoming series will showcase initiatives such as the establishment of primary education in the Kolhapur district of Maharashtra, through community oversight and a teacher’s motivation program, which has now spread across Maharashtra.

The series will also show Lokvani, a web-based grievance redressal system in the backward district of Sitapur in Uttar Pradesh. One of the episodes will focus on community policing in Trichy, devised by J K Tripath.
