MUMBAI:
Sony Pix announced Bejoy Nambiar as the winner of its film-making
based reality show Gateway. He will undergo an intensive eight-week
internship with Ashok Amritraj and Hyde Park Entertainment
in Los Angeles.
Nambiar
will learn the intricacies of both the art and business of
filmmaking in Hollywood before directing the Hyde Park Entertainment
produced film.
Says
Hyde Park Entertainment CEO and chairman Ashok Amritraj, who
was one of the judges for the show said, I am eager
to work with Bejoy Nambiar. He is very talented and shows
a lot of promise. He truly represents the Indian filmmaker
of today with his style and technique. This collaboration
with PIX has been an enriching experience for Indian filmmakers
as their means to Hollywood have been re-defined!

Rasaily was announced the runner up.
Anurag
Basu of Gangster and Life in a Metro
fame has offered him a chance to direct a Bollywood film.The
other judges for the show were Rajat Kapoor, Anurag Basu and
Santosh Sivan as the guest juror.

business head Sunder Aaron said, Under the jurys
tutelage and mentorship the contestants awareness and
understanding on film making has risen considerably, and the
teaching will be put to use no matter where time takes them.
This
12-week episode series was shot at Subhash Ghais Whistling
Woods in Mumbai. The show had also assembled an impressive
team of guest judges who featured in every episode as prominent
jury members. Renowned directors like Subhash Ghai, Nagesh
Kukunoor, Sanjay Gupta, and many more, have also been part
of the show. The shows format put the contestants through
a rigorous exercise of tasks that tested their creative and
filmmaking abilities.
