The new website is dedicated to serving audiences in Asia with a trusted daily source of market and global news and reviews, with in-depth analysis of the Asian entertainment industry.

The Hollywood Reporter SVP and publishing director Eric Mika says, “The launch of THR-Asia.com reflects the increasingly global and interconnected nature of the entertainment community. This move further advances our goal to be first in taking the global pulse of the business of entertainment – and serving readers and advertisers across the world with the most relevant information and insight delivered on every platform.”

HollywoodReporter.com editor Melissa Grego says, “THR-Asia is the newest innovation among The Hollywood Reporter’s growing suite of editorial products designed to super-serve entertainment business readers around the world.

“As we expand our coverage of the international entertainment community, we are pleased to offer our audiences in Asia with a source of information designed specifically for them.”

The new THR-Asia.com site features breaking news, reviews, analyses, video, charts and polls from Asia and around the world. It includes contributions from across the Asian region as well as Asia-related coverage from The Reporter’s Los Angeles headquarters and other bureaus.

The home page offers content relevant to Asia at large. From there, users can navigate to locally-targeted pages with content focusing on seven Asian regions: China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Korea, Singapore and Thailand.

THR-Asia.com also features Q&As with influential Asian entertainment figures. Current interviews available on the new site include prolific director Johnnie To, actress-heiress Josie Ho, Singaporean director Royston Tan, Chinese director Li Ying, and Thai director Pen-Ek Ratanaruang.

The Hollywood Reporter adds that it continues to demonstrate leadership and innovation in being the source for entertainment industry news and analysis on a global basis. Over the past 12 months, the brand established expanded international capabilities and coverage throughout Asia with staff in Hong Kong and Beijing to provide audiences with news on all aspects of the global entertainment industry across all platforms.

Last year, The Reporter launched a global digital edition available in 12 languages and joined with international publications Gulf News and Cine 21 to produce film festival dailies in Dubai and Korea.
