MUMBAI: MTV is launching a reality series Scooty Miss Teen India 2008. The six episode series is a talent hunt to find the best young girl in India.

The crowned Scooty Miss Teen India 2008 will represent India for the first time at the Miss Teen International. She will compete for the title with contestants from around the globe in Chicago in July.

The show will test young women from 13-18 years who will be short-listed from over 1,500 nominations received nationwide after the regional selection rounds in Mumbai and New Delhi.

MTV India VP (creative and content) and GM Ashish Patil said, "MTV has always taken the lead in hunting down hot young people with attitude and style, be it our signature VJ Hunts, MTV Roadies or more. With Miss Teen, we extend that to finding the one lucky teenager who'll represent India at the very prestigious Miss Teen International pageant in Chicago."

Scooty Miss Teen India 2008 national director Kavita Bagga said, "Miss Teen India has been developed to promote the talent of today's young women and provide them a platform to become positive role models. The participating teenagers at the Scooty Miss Teen India 2008 have exhibited spunk and confidence to compete internationally."

TVS Scooty is the title partner while The MobileStore and Stayfree Dry Max are associate partners.

TVS Motor Company GM (marketing) S Srinivas said, "Scooty Miss Teen India 2008 delivers a perfect ten on yet another platform of the 'winning attitude' for young girls that fits well with our brand."
