MUMBAI:
Pan Asian broadcaster Star has appointed Yvonne Chuang as
VP of programme syndication and distribution.
Officially
joining the company on 10 March 2008, Chuang will report to
Star COO Laureen Ong.
Chuang
will oversee the syndication and home video distribution of
Star's content library worldwide. Under her oversight will
be the Fortune Star library, which is the world's largest
contemporary Chinese movie library, as well as more than 20,000
hours of Indian and Chinese programming from across Star’s
channels in India and Greater China.
Ong
said, “Yvonne is a seasoned professional with a wide
range of industry knowledge and hands-on experience, particularly
in the areas of content sales, syndication and distribution.
"As
Star beefs up its own content production, Yvonne will be counted
on to distribute our growing library worldwide to meet the
increasing demand from our audience for high-quality Asian
film and television content.”
