MUMBAI: Zee TV is extending its afternoon band from 10 March with its new show Saath Saath Banayenge Ek Aashiyaan which will air at 1 pm.

Starting from 1 pm, the afternoon band has Rakhi at 1:30 pm, followed by Meri Doli Tere Angana at 2 pm.

Zee TV business head Tarun Mehra said, “We realised the need for original programming in the afternoon. Our research showed that viewers were keen to sample some fresh content and not just the repeats of prime time shows. Saath Saath Banayenge Ek Aashiyaan has a theme that is very new but relatable.”

Produced by Meteor Films, the show Saath Saath is the story of a Delhi-based Punjabi family. The two grandsons of the family get married to girls who are geographically and culturally poles apart from each other. One hails from a small town in Punjab while the other is an NRI who has been brought up across the seven seas.
