MUMBAI: Sony Entertainment Television (SET) has shuffled the prime time. The channel has done a market research and changed the timings of three shows. The changed timings have been effective since last Monday.

Babul Ka Aangan Chootey Na, which was earlier aired at 10 pm, has now been shifted to 9:30 pm. Amber Dhara, which was aired at 9:30 pm, has now been scheduled for 8:30 pm. The 8 pm show Tujhko Hai Salaam Zindgi has been shifted to 10 pm.

SET creative head Sanjay Upadhyay said, "This shuffling is a corrective measure taken in the channel's interests. We want to exercise the best possibility to enhance viewership, and that's why we cited a market research."

These changes were made in an attempt to streamline the shows in a pattern so that viewers get a variety of shows at a stretch. However, Kuch Is Tara, which has so far done well for the channel and has become quite popular, stays constant at the 9 pm slot, informed Upadhyay.

On being queried about the performance of these individual shows, Upadhyay said, "Babul Ka Aangan Chootey Na has been doing very well whereas Tujhko Hai Salaam Zindgi unfortunately did not take off well."

"Amber Dhara is different from the hardcore genre of programming. Although this show failed to deliver good on numbers, it has established a loyal viewership," added Upadhyay.
