MUMBAI:
In its attempt to deliver differentiated and tasteful content
for various audience segments, Amrita TV has launched four
new programmes in different genres - a spoof show, an outdoor
musical, a chat show and RK Narayan's classic Malgudi Days.
It
will be the first time that a Malayalam television channel
is telecasting Malgudi Days. It is a collection of
story-like episodes, of endearing and memorable characters
living in the fictional town of Malgudi. Malgudi Days
will be aired on Monday through Friday at 7 pm.
Apradhana
Vartakal is a news spoof on headlines and breaking news
phenomenon, touching various aspects of life, and will telecast
every Saturday at 9 pm.
Rock
N Roll is a musical set in the outdoors where celebrity
singers will sing with invited audience. The weekly programme
will be telecast every Sunday at 7 pm.
Another
new offering from Amrita TV is a chat show Thirakkil Alpam
Neram that involves a personal sharing of unknown facets
of bureaucrats, industrialists, politicians, film stars and
celebrities. The programme will be telecast every Saturday
at 7 pm.
