MUMBAI: Television format creator and distributor FremantleMedia Enterprises (FME) has announced that its home entertainment division has entered into a deal with digital entertainment download store Coolroom.

Following this, titles from FME’s back catalogue will now be accessible throughout Coolroom, sitting side by side with feature films, music and kids’ shows.

Episodes from series such as Dangermouse, Baywatch and Bless this House, along with specials featuring comic icons like Tommy Cooper and old-school shows like Carry On Christmas and new programming, including Live From Abbey Road and Prehistoric Park, will be available on Coolroom’s website and bespoke IPTV channel across Microsoft Media Center, allowing viewers to enjoy whenever they choose.

Titles will be available to own and rent from £0.99.

Consumers with Windows XP or Vista PCs can view Coolroom through Media Center and ultimately enjoy FME’s content from the comfort of their sofa on TV via a remote controlled home entertainment centre.

FME’s SVP (home entertainment) Pete Kalhan says, “We are delighted to be working with such a pioneering operation as Coolroom. Now fans, both old and new, will be able to download FME’s timeless titles exactly when it suits them and, thanks to Coolroom, in a very 21st century way.”
