Nobel Laureate Al Gore release children books on climate change

MUMBAI: Nobel Laureate and former US Vice President Albert Arnold (Al) Gore has released two children books on climate change from the series Save Planet Earth Series.

The two books Know Climate Change and 101 Q and A on Climate Change from the six-book series is jointly published by Tata Energy Research Institute (Teri) Press and the JSW Foundation.

Terrapin, the children's imprint of Teri Press has published the books with the support of JSW Foundation. The theme of all these books is woven around Teri's mandate of energy, environment, and sustainable development.

Printed on recycled paper the books introduce children to the critical issue of climate change and offers information on clean, green solutions to the problem. The books feature photographs, detailed illustrative work, natty designs and is reviewed by experts in the field of environment.

The other titles in the series are - The Three Rs-Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle (a guide on how to reduce, reuse, and recycle at school and at home), Conservation: How to Save a Planet (a book on what can children do at home and school to conserve nature and natural resources). Others include Clean Solutions for a Green Earth, a book that teaches children cool ways to stop global warming, and SOS for Earth, a title that reveals the/ most critically endangered plants and animals in the world, as well as places and cultures in danger due to climate change.
