BANGALORE: Vijay TV has announced that its best Tamil orator talent hunt weekly show Aachi Thamizh Pechu Engal Moochu will start on Sunday (2 March).

The channel claims to have launched an intensive statewide hunt in Tamil Nadu for the most competent Tamil orators from across the state spanning cities such as Salem, Coimbatore, Madurai, Trichy, Thirunelveli and Chennai.

In the audition stage, the participants were made to choose from a Tamil letter, word, or sentence as a subject and speak extempore on the chosen subject.

A panel comprising Tamil scholars, "Thamizh Kadal" Nellai Kannan and Arivumathi judged the competition. From the 6 zones, over 200 best orators were selected and made to compete at various levels. Post elimination, 30 final contestants will be chosen and put to test in different rounds varying on skills such as story narration, poetry recital, pattimandram, elocution, etc.

Vijay TV seems to be doing well in talk shows.
