Alfred Haber (AHI), which is representing the Grammy Awards for the 20th successive
year, has announced that it has cleared the 51st edition of the show in several
territories. These
include Canwest Global (Canada), Foxtel (Australia), Wowow (Japan), Sony Entertainment
Television (Latin America), Televisa (Mexico) and MNet (South Africa). AHI
executive VP, worldwide sales Robert Kennedy says, "Music is a universal
language and having represented the Grammy Awards internationally for 20 years
now we are delighted with the success we have achieved for what is truly the ultimate
award show. The Grammy Awards marks music's biggest night and continues to be
the world's most popular televised annual music event." The
nominations announcement will take place in Los Angeles on 4 December. The Grammy
Awards was the first awards show to air in high-definition TV/5.1 surround sound,
and will continue utilising technology to provide a more immersive viewing and
listening experience for the show's global audience. |
