| MUMBAI:
Adam Ware has been named president of the newly formed US media company IA Media. This
includes oversight of ImaginAsian TV (iaTV), which is dedicated to Asian pop culture.
The announcement was made by ImaginAsian Entertainment chairman and CEO Augustine
SC Hong. Ware
will be responsible for the management of iaTVs programming, production,
marketing, advertising sales and distribution, in addition to ImaginAsians
extensive group of digital media properties.
Hong says, Adam joining the company represents a rare opportunity to add
a television industry veteran with a long and successful track record of building
new TV networks to our management team. His experience with UPN, USA Networks
and FOX Broadcasting Company is particularly appealing as we look to take iaTV
to another level.
ImaginAsian Entertainment president and COO Edward Lee says, Adams
addition is strong validation of our business model and work to date and his being
based in Los Angeles helps the company grow its presence within the Hollywood
community.
Ware says, Im very excited about joining the IA team in their endeavor
to build the dominant brand in Asian Pop Culture today. I have been a fan and
student of the space going back to my very first professional exposure while at
Fox and the overwhelming success of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Asian
pop is on the cutting edge of American youth culture and new media. Ive
wanted to jump head first into the space for a long time and IA offers the perfect
foundation for the next step of my career.
Ware has been in media for more than 20 years with experience in all operating
disciplines with a specific focus on new networks and the emerging digital media
marketplace. Most
recently, he operated a media consulting practice based in Los Angeles providing
management, distribution, mergers and acquisitions, ad sales and business planning
services to companies such as Liberty Media, AOL and Comcast. |
