MUMBAI: Chyron has announced that Bangladesh broadcaster Ekushey Television (ETV) has installed a MicroX graphics system as part of a major newsroom upgrade.

The system was installed through Magna Systems and Engineering’s partner, LSV Enterprise Singapore.

The MicroX is being used by ETV’s newsroom operators to run a lower third news crawl ticker, and lower third supers when the ticker is taken off air.

The MicroX, a single-channel graphics system with high-end features, provides ETV with packed functionality and simple interaction with graphics software and data files.

Chyron’s director of sales, Asia Pacific William Payne says, "We are delighted to announce this sale to ETV, which further highlights Chyron’s strong commitment to the Asian region. The MicroX is a small system that packs a powerful punch with an HD/SD-switchable configuration that can eliminate budget concerns when retooling for HD."
