MUMBAI: US net service provider AOL has unveiled a new AOL Radio experience, http://radio.aol.com.

This features a redesigned online player and new radio stations, including 150 local CBS Radio stations and custom channels plus more than 200 AOL Radio channels.

The new player, powered by CBS Radio, lets users skip songs, add unlimited channel presets and share streams with AIM users. AOL Radio is part of AOL's music offering which includes AOL Music.

AOL executive VP Kevin Conroy says, "The new AOL Radio underscores AOL's ongoing commitment to provide users with the best all encompassing radio experience available. With over 350 streams, 150 of them from CBS Radio, AOL Radio is unmatched in breadth of streaming audio content available online."

Enhancements to AOL Radio's online player lets users:

• Skip and pause tracks
• Select an unlimited number of channel pre-sets
• Access a playlist of the previous 30 songs listened to
• Easily share a station with friends via AIM integration within the player
• Listen to AOL Radio through the built-in mini AOL Radio player in the Buddy List for those using AIM versions 6.0 and above.
The new AOL Radio experience will run on any Windows or Mac based browser that supports Adobe Flash v.9.

In addition to the new player, AOL plans to release downloadable versions of AOL Radio for Winamp and the Mac in the coming weeks, and it is working on widgets that will let users access their favorite stations directly from other AOL and third-party applications.
