Endemol appoints Valkin as digital media global head

MUMBAI: Endemol has appointed Adam Valkin as its global head of digital media and new business.

Valkin will be based in London office and will oversee Endemol's global digital media activities including identifying, acquiring and developing businesses in new growth areas.

His appointment is effective from 1 September.

The company's international digital teams, including the UK business headed by Peter Cowley, will report into Valkin.

Valkin will join Endemol from Arts Alliance, a venture capital company that invests and develops digital media business such as LoveFilm, Propertyfinder mobile entertainment company Player X, among others.

Valkin has also worked with US book retailer Barnes and Noble's web business and for Firefly, an internet software developer.
