MUMBAI:
Action oriented broadcaster AXN has announced that the third
edition of its Action Awards will air on 6 July at 8 pm.
The awards celebrate the best action fare in Bollywood and
will be hosted by Neha Dhupia.
This
year Bollywood witnessed Amitabh Bachchan's menacing Gabbar
looks in the remake of Sholay 'Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag'.
Then there was the criminal catching of Sanju Baba in Shootout
At Lokhandwala. Both the actors got nominations for the
Best Action Actor in a Negative Role and Best Action Actor
in a Lead Role respectively.
AXN Action Awards will also be presenting the Lifetime Achievement
award. The Lifetime Achievement award will be bestowed on
that one talent who has defined and shaped the action genre
of the Bollywood Industry over the years.
The
show is co-presented by Vodafone and Bingo in association
with Garnier Fructis, McDonalds, TVS Flame and Maruti Suzuki.
The media partners on the property are Red FM 93.5 and PVR
Cinemas.
